In August 2009, UCI Law opened its doors to students as the first new public law school in California in more than 40 years. With a top- ranked faculty and high-caliber students, UCI Law seeks to create the most highly-trained lawyers for the 21st century by providing an innovative curriculum centered around hands-on, clinical experience; interdisciplinary study; and public service.

Creation of an initial case for support and extensive external market research study to determine the readiness and capacity of the school to enter into a major capital campaign.
