Bridging two languages and two cultures, Phoenix Philanthropy’s passion and experience in fundraising created a dynamic partnership with Sistema Universitario Ana G. Méndez (SUAGM). Educational visionary Ana G. Méndez founded the Puerto Rico Junior College, which became SUAGM in 1948. It was the first educational institution in Puerto Rico to offer an associate degree, and now offers Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees on campuses in Puerto Rico and the continental United States. In partnership with Phoenix Philanthropy, SUAGM maneuvered through cultural and economic realities to implement new alumni relations and annual fund programs within the system’s centralized advancement function, as well as within its three separately accredited universities. We also consulted on the E=MC2 Campaign, which raised over $29.48 million, exceeding the campaign’s goal by 26%.

“For the past two years, The Phoenix Philanthropy Group has consecutively provided valued assessment and counsel to restructure, redirect, and strengthen our alumni program. Their 360-degree approach to provide a short- and long-term strategic plan included onsite visits and the engagement of top-down and inside-out commitment to a successful implementation.”
